Power Outages
Before reporting your outage:
- Safely check your breakers to see whether any have tripped (this may help you avoid a fee on your bill if you report an outage, but the problem isn't with our equipment)
- Check to see if your neighbors are out, if it's safe to do so
Beware of Scams
Scammers often target utility customers by demanding payment to prevent disconnection of service, usually by impersonating utility companies. TNMP never contacts customers about their bills. We may contact customers about their electric service, but:
- never about bills
- never about disconnecting service for non-payment
Start, Stop or Move Service
In the Texas Choice market, you are free to choose your retail provider.
Please contact your retail provider - the company that bills you - if you need to make a change to your service.
Request Temporary Disconnection
We can temporarily disconnect services to allow work involving or near your electrical equipment to be conducted safely.
This will turn off power to the premise.
