TNMP Fund Donates $250K to Local Nonprofits

Lewisville, Texas

The TNMP Fund is making donations totaling $250,000 to nonprofit organizations in response to the extreme winter weather event in February.

The dollars are intended to benefit customers in Texas-New Mexico Power service areas in Texas who experienced losses or expenses resulting from the event.

"We're proud to make these donations to organizations that make such tremendous impacts throughout the year in their communities," TNMP President Neal Walker said. "Their clients and the organizations themselves experienced hardships last month and we hope these donations will help drive successful recoveries."

Fourteen donations between $9,000 and $30,000 are being made to 501(c)(3) organizations in Bosque, Brazoria, Coryell, Denton, Galveston, Grayson, Pecos, Reeves and Somervell counties. Among the organizations are food pantries and senior services, plus nonprofits with facilities that experienced physical damage.

The donations are being made by the TNMP Fund from shareholder dollars. No rate dollars are used.

The TNMP Fund is a division of the PNM Resources Foundation, the nonprofit foundation of Texas-New Mexico Power’s parent company.
TNMP is a transmission and distribution service provider that delivers power to more than 260,000 homes and businesses on behalf of retail electric providers in Texas. More information is available at tnmp.com/about-us.
