TNMP Employees Partner with The Shepherd’s Storehouse for a Decade-Long Thanksgiving Tradition
Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on gratitude and those around us who need a helping hand. Without hesitation, Pilot Point employees personally donated their own funds in efforts to purchase food for The Shepherd’s Storehouse, to benefit families facing adversity within the area. This simple, heartfelt gesture will allow families to gather around the table during the Thanksgiving holiday.
“The Shepherd’s Storehouse really gets to the people in need throughout the Pilot Point community,” said TNMP Sr. Project Leader, Greg Evans, who was born and raised in Pilot Point. “Their community involvement goes a long way! It’s an honor for us to give to an organization that gives back to so many.”
For over ten years, TNMP has provided a feast of turkey, stuffing, potatoes, cranberry sauce, and desserts. As food insecurity has been on the rise, so has the amount of food TNMP has donated.
Jeremy Nortman, Field Supervisor said, “Our crews know the importance of family and community. When one of our own is struggling, you help, no questions asked. I’m thankful this holiday season that I work with employees who understand the importance and value in giving back to others, without being asked.”
The Shepherd's Storehouse opened its doors 33 years ago, serving 25 families. This month, they served 176 families.
“We are so glad that TNMP is part of our organization, they look out for us. Every Thanksgiving they bring us meals. They help the families. They’ve been good to us financially and we can’t thank them enough,” said Luther Slay.
