Applications Open for 2024 TNMP Power Grants
Texas-New Mexico Power (TNMP) is pleased to announce that applications for the 2024 TNMP Power Grants open today, August 1. A total of $155,000 will be available to support community-strengthening projects across TNMP's service areas, with individual grants of up to $10,000.
"At TNMP, we are committed to making a positive impact in the communities we serve. Supporting local initiatives of nonprofits allows us to contribute to the success and well-being of our neighbors," said Keith Nix, VP of Operations.
Community Benefits:
The grants are designed to support a variety of projects managed by qualifying 501(c)(3) organizations in TNMP's service area, including those affiliated with schools. Grants can be used for:
- Community Vitality
- Education
- Animal Services
- Basic Human Needs
Applicants are encouraged to request only the amounts necessary for their projects. In 2023, twenty-eight organizations received over $150,000 in total.
Eligibility and Application Process:
Qualifying 501(c)(3) organizations in TNMP’s service areas are encouraged to apply, including school-affiliated entities who have a 501(c)(3) designation. Interested nonprofits can visit http://tnmp.com/powergrants to review grant details and access the application. Additional resources for prospective applicants are available on the website.
The application window is open from August 1 to August 31, with funding decisions to be made later in the year. Prospective applicants can direct their questions to their Regional Community Liaison via email.
