Texas-New Mexico Power (TNMP) is pleased to announce that applications for the 2026 TNMP Power Grants open May 1. A total of $300,000 will be available to support community‑strengthening projects across TNMP’s service areas, with individual grants of up to $10,000.

“At TNMP, we remain committed to investing in the communities we serve,” said Keith Nix, VP of Operations. “By supporting the work of local nonprofits, we help strengthen the well‑being, resilience, and future of our neighborhoods.”

Community Benefits

The TNMP Power Grants program supports a wide range of projects led by qualifying 501(c)(3) organizations within TNMP’s service area, providing flexible, trust‑based funding to organizations whose work strengthens communities and advances one or more of the Foundation’s core pillars:

  • Education
  • Economic Vitality
  • Environment

In 2025, dozens of organizations received funding to advance meaningful, community‑focused projects across Texas.

Eligibility and Application Process

Eligible 501(c)(3) organizations—including school‑affiliated groups with nonprofit status—are encouraged to apply. Applicants can visit tnmp.com/powergrants to review program details, access the application, and explore additional resources.

The 2026 application window runs from May 1 through May 31, with funding decisions announced later in the year. Prospective applicants may contact their Regional Community Liaison with questions.
